Applications to install on a new mac

When my MacBook hard disc died, one of the problems was identifying which applications I had actually lost. Now that I’m looking forward to my iMac delivery, I decided to take stock.

The excellent ‘stacks’ feature in Leopard provides a really intuitive way of seeing a single folder. I took a screenshot of this, then using preview was able to annotate it and provide a simple ‘tick list’ of applications which I need to install.

Here’s the result (click to embiggen).

So a bit of downloading to do. I could be smart, and start to pre-download the software now and put them on a pen drive.

Of course, I should have been smarter when I downloaded these over the last few weeks, and stored them somewhere special
